This meeting convenes all of the leading marine engine manufacturers of the United States, most of which are members of ICOMIA's Marine Engine Committee (IMEC).
IMECAs ever, wide-ranging discussions covered the many aspects of technical developments, the monitoring of regulations under development and how we can all, as a united industry, help to inform constructive, sensible policy decisions
ICOMIA was delighted to see positive movement in many areas, where our collective powers of research and positive constructive lobbying have furthered the understanding of our unique industry.
NMMAOne great example is the development of the Michigan Maritime Strategy that adopts and supports the recommendations made in our #PropellingOurFuture campaign.
ICOMIA's Technical Director, Patrick Hemp, presented an update on the EU-focused Recreational Craft Directive.
ICOMIA Technical Director, Patrick HempThis demonstrated how we are supporting the engagement and expert input into the subsequent editions of the directive to ensure globally harmonised standards wherever and whenever possible.
Other discussions focused on how the testing and monitoring of emissions can be made more effective, realistic and meaningful.
