Condé Nast named Kazumi Asamura Hayashi as Head of Editorial Content of Vogue Japan, effective Thursday, 29 January. In her new role, Asamura Hayashi will be responsible for overseeing the vision and content across all platforms for the title in Japan.
Kazumi Asamura Hayashi's appointment follows the recent announcement of Soichiro Fujiwara as Managing Director of Condé Nast Japan, who will join the company in March 2026, marking a new phase for the organization's leadership in the market.

About Kazumi Asamra Hayashi
Kazumi Asamura Hayashi is a Tokyo-born editor and creative leader whose career has been shaped between Tokyo and New York, with a strong international perspective across fashion and culture. She is currently working as a creative consultant, collaborating with brands and cultural platforms at the intersection of fashion and contemporary culture.
Previously, Hayashi launched i-D Japan in 2016, where she went on to serve as Editorial Director, shaping the title across print, digital and social platforms. In 2020, she expanded this vision regionally with the launch of i-D Asia, a digital platform spotlighting contemporary Asian culture.
Earlier in her career, she was Editor-in-Chief of Libertin DUNE, Japan's leading independent fashion culture magazine, and co-founded The Last Gallery, a platform dedicated to contemporary art. Her work bridges street culture and luxury fashion, with a distinctive editorial point of view rooted in Japanese culture and a global perspective.
