PRESS RELEASE 14 October 2026

Meet Apple HomeView, a new way to enjoy entertainment, stay connected, and manage the home

Apple HomeView is powered by Apple Intelligence with Siri AI and built with privacy and security at its core
Powered by Apple Intelligence with Siri AI, Apple HomeView brings entertainment, connection, and smart home management together in one place.
CUPERTINO, CALIFORNIA Apple today introduced Apple HomeView, designed to be central to the home and personal to everyone in it. With a stunning 7-inch Liquid Retina display, HomeView brings entertainment, connection, and smart home management together in one place, from playing music and making FaceTime calls to home monitoring and hands-free automations with voice control - all designed with privacy and security at the core.1 HomeView recognises users by their faces, adapting so they can access their personal content in Messages, FaceTime, Calendar, Reminders, and Find My. HomeView features Siri AI, an entirely new version of Siri that's profoundly more capable and conversational, with broad world knowledge that powers richer music discovery and onscreen awareness. When paired with an Apple Intelligence-enabled device, it can also draw on a user's personal context, such as their Calendar, Messages, and relevant information across their apps, to provide more helpful, personalised responses.2
Designed to fit in any space, HomeView can be placed on a tabletop as the centre of the home or wall-mounted to fit in spaces like the entryway or hallway. Pre-orders start today, with availability beginning 13 November.
"Apple HomeView is designed to be shared by everyone in the home yet feel completely personal to each user," said Greg Joswiak, Apple's senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing. "It recognises your face to shift from a household screen to your own experience, fills the room with incredible sound, keeps you connected to the people who matter most with FaceTime, and makes it easy to control your smart home. And it's powered by Apple Intelligence with Siri AI at its core, drawing on personal context from your iPhone to help you find what you need and get more done, all while keeping everyone's information private and secure."
HomeView brings people together around one shared experience, while recognising each user and adapting to them privately.

The elegant design and Liquid Retina display seamlessly blend into any space while remaining clearly visible from across the room. It features adaptive display technologies, including True Tone, that react to changing light throughout the day. Automatic brightness adjusts from 500 nits - bright enough to stay vivid and easy to see even in a sunlit room - down to just 0.3 nits, making it ideal for the nightstand. The HomeView interface intelligently adjusts based on the user's distance, showing simpler information that's viewable from across the room and richer detail as they step closer.
A separate wall-mounted HomeView model - available in space grey and silver - offers the same 7-inch Liquid Retina display, powerful set of features, and rich audio. It can be attached to a wall using three purpose-built mounts from Schneider Home.

A Personalised Experience for Each User in the Home

HomeView recognises up to six people and delivers a personalised experience for each one. Each user gets their own personalised Home Screen with apps and widgets. Personal content stays private from others, while shared photo albums and music can be easily enjoyed by everyone in a household, including guests.

Featuring Siri AI, Powered by Apple Intelligence

HomeView features Siri AI, an entirely new version of Siri powered by the next generation of Apple Intelligence and advanced Apple silicon. Siri AI is a profoundly more capable and conversational assistant with personal context understanding and onscreen awareness. With broad world knowledge, anyone in the home can ask Siri about virtually any topic and get an answer.
HomeView features Siri AI, an entirely new version of Siri that is profoundly more capable and conversational.
With an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad, Siri AI does more for each person - taking action across apps and surfacing relevant information from Messages and Calendar, playlists on Apple Music, and more by drawing on their personal context. Users have the ability to customise the expressiveness and pace of Siri's voice on their paired and compatible device so that it's just right for them. That customisation carries over to HomeView, allowing users to go back and forth with Siri in a conversation like never before.3 Conversations that start on HomeView seamlessly continue in the Siri app, which uses iCloud to privately sync history across a user's products, so they can pick up the conversation on iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, or Apple Vision Pro.
With Siri AI built into HomeView, even users without an Apple Intelligence-enabled iPhone or iPad will benefit from Siri AI's broad world knowledge; ability to have rich, natural conversations; and improved music discovery.

Faces for Every Style

Users can personalise HomeView with a collection of playful and informative faces that display information at a glance, taking full advantage of the vibrant Liquid Retina display. The Photos face brings cherished memories to life with stunning Portrait-style depth effects that keep the subject sharp while creating a beautifully blurred foreground and background. By selecting a shared album, users can turn HomeView into a living photo frame that loved ones near and far can help fill. The Flow face dynamically responds to physical presence and movement, transforming HomeView into a piece of interactive art. And even Snoopy comes to life on HomeView, with animations that reflect the time of day, the weather, and sporting events.

Rich Entertainment Anywhere in the Home

HomeView offers an exceptional listening experience through a custom-engineered acoustic system. Two custom full-range drivers in the display keep everything sounding crisp and clean while delivering room-filling Spatial Audio. A down-firing woofer and two force-cancelling passive radiators are built into the base, offering incredible bass extension. Powered by Apple silicon and real-time system sensors, advanced computational audio continuously optimises loudness and bass response at any volume. The wall-mounted version delivers rich sound with two custom drivers and computational audio tuned specifically for on-wall placement.

HomeView is the perfect way to enjoy Apple Music, complete with animated album art and lyrics, as well as Apple Podcasts, Apple News,4 Apple TV, and compatible third-party audio and video apps.5 With Handoff, users can continue listening to a song they were playing in the car or on a walk by placing their iPhone in front of the HomeView display. By setting up multiple HomeView, HomePod, HomePod mini, and AirPlay-compatible speakers around the house, users can enjoy music throughout the entire home with multiroom audio.

Connecting Users to What Matters Most

HomeView makes it effortless for users to stay in touch and get things done around the house. FaceTime and Centre Stage keep everyone framed perfectly, even when participants are moving around the room.6 Messages can be read and answered by voice or with the onscreen keyboard. Intercom lets users broadcast a quick message to a single room or the whole house - reaching other HomeView and HomePod speakers, as well as personal devices like iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch. In the kitchen, HomeView is the perfect sous chef, converting recipes from the web into step-by-step instructions with hands-free timer control and help with ingredient tracking, so users can stay focused on what's cooking.
HomeView makes it easy for users to communicate and get things done around the house, whether they're hopping on a FaceTime call, looking up a recipe, or setting a timer hands-free.

With Find My, users can check in on loved ones who have shared their locations with them, or track down a misplaced iPhone, AirPods charging case, or personal item with an AirTag attached. And with Live Activities, HomeView surfaces timely, at-a-glance information, like the song that's currently playing, an active timer, or an incoming Intercom message from another room.

The Ultimate Smart Home Dashboard

HomeView allows users to securely control their smart home by touch or with just their voice using Siri AI - viewing camera feeds, adjusting lights, locking doors, or closing the blinds.7 The Home Modular face offers instant access to users' favourite accessories, while the Home Camera face can livestream up to nine video feeds at once, letting users keep an eye on doorstep deliveries and pets playing in the yard.
With HomeView, users can securely control their smart home by touch or with just their voice by using Siri AI.
With a supported iCloud+ subscription, HomeView works with compatible cameras to deliver intelligent, end-to-end encrypted recognition of people, familiar faces, pets, packages, and vehicles, notifying the household the moment someone arrives at the front door. With video descriptions for HomeKit Secure Video footage, HomeView helps users quickly understand what happened in a video clip without even watching it.8 Offering added peace of mind, HomeView also detects the sound of smoke or carbon monoxide alarms and alerts users on their iPhone, iPad, or Apple Watch.
HomeView also works with Apple Home Collection - a new line-up of smart home cameras, thermostats, and a lock designed in collaboration with LG Electronics and Schneider Electric - as well as other Works with Apple Home and Matter accessories.9 Together, they help users understand what's happening inside and outside, manage access, keep the home at just the right temperature, and so much more.10 At launch, the video doorbell and camera line-up will be available in the U.S., Canada, and the UK. The smart deadbolt lock and smart thermostat will be available in the U.S. and Canada.
HomeView also works with Apple Home Collection - Apple's first line-up of smart home cameras, thermostats, and a lock - as well as other Works with Apple Home and Matter accessories.

Private and Secure by Design

Like every Apple product, HomeView was built with privacy and security at its core. HomeView and the A18 chip include Secure Exclaves: protected and compartmentalised runtimes used to process camera and microphone data separately from the rest of the system. Isolation features added across many core components of the silicon work in tandem to protect Secure Exclaves and keep them segregated from the rest of the system. Data that is processed and analysed in Secure Exclaves cannot be accessed by the HomeView software, apps, the user, or Apple. To ensure that personal content stays private to each individual, even when HomeView is shared by the whole household, content in apps like Messages and Calendar is only surfaced when the enrolled user is recognised by their face, and when their paired iPhone or iPad is present and has been recently unlocked.11
Siri requests on HomeView can use on-device processing or Private Cloud Compute, which extends the privacy of the device to the cloud. When processed in Private Cloud Compute, data is not stored nor made accessible to Apple or anyone else.

Apple HomeView and the Environment

HomeView was built with the environment in mind and drives progress toward Apple's ambitious plan to be carbon neutral across its entire footprint by 2030. HomeView is made with 100 per cent recycled aluminium in the enclosure base and in the enclosure of the wall-mounted model, 100 per cent recycled gold plating and tin solder in all Apple-designed printed circuit boards, and 100 per cent recycled rare earth elements in all magnets. HomeView meets Apple's high standards for energy efficiency and safe chemistry. As with all Apple products, its paper packaging is 100 per cent fibre-based12 and designed to be recycled.
