NAHB to Celebrate the Impact of Young Professionals During YP Week, Oct. 21-25

NAHB's annual celebration of Young Professionals (YPs) in home building is an opportunity to showcase many of the ways they are impacting the industry and shaping its future.

Throughout this year's YP Week, Oct. 21-25, NAHB will highlight resources for YPs to advance in their careers, network and give back to their communities. A new component of the celebration will be the Young Professionals Day of Service on Friday, Oct. 25, when NAHB members are encouraged to participate in a community service activity,

NAHB YP Committee Chairman Robert Carroll said the week is a chance to recognize NAHB's diverse group of young professionals for their accomplishments and contributions to the association.

"Our members are really stepping it up and doing amazing work," Carroll said.

One recent example was when the NAHB Young Professionals were recognized for raising $13,000 for BUILD-PAC, NAHB's bipartisan political action committee.

For YP Committee member Nicolas Ream, the most impressive aspect of the group is its members' eagerness to support each other as they pursue business opportunities and leadership roles.

"NAHB's YP Committee is all about sharing information, whether it's reading lists, best practices or ways to get involved at national meetings," Ream said. "The committee continues to find innovative ways to involve young professionals from all over the country."
