APINDO, Labor Unions, and Manpower Office Commit to Prevent Unrest in Tangerang City

TANGERANG CITY - The Tangerang City Manpower Office (Disnaker) held a meeting with representatives of labor unions, the Indonesian Employers' Association (APINDO), and the Tangerang Raya HR Forum on Monday (September 1, 2025). The forum addressed economic conditions while reinforcing efforts to maintain a conducive business climate in the city.

Head of the Tangerang City Manpower Office, Ujang Hendra, emphasized that the forum serves as a platform to strengthen communication between the government, workers, and employers. "All stakeholders have agreed to safeguard stability. Any issues will be resolved through dialogue, not by taking to the streets," he stated.

Chairman of APINDO Tangerang City, Ismail, confirmed that business operations remain normal without factory closures. However, he acknowledged that the business community continues to monitor developments closely and maintains coordination with security forces as a precaution against possible escalation.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Workers' Federation (FSPI) Tangerang City, Abu Bakar Yasin, underlined that workers are committed to supporting stability and safeguarding investment. He also urged union members not to be provoked by issues that could disrupt industrial harmony. "Our commitment is to maintain cooperative labor relations while also pushing for solutions to normative issues such as wages and company policies," he stressed.

The meeting is expected to serve as a sustainable communication platform among the government, labor, and business sectors to ensure a healthy, safe, and conducive business environment in Tangerang City.
