Summer is here, and Bellflower's Parks and Recreation Department is offering a variety of classes, programs and events. This season is about staying connected, active and continuing to make Bellflower a wonderful place to work, play and live.
Free Daily Youth Activities
Summer break can disrupt daily routines for busy families. To keep kids active and socially engaged, Bellflower Parks and Recreation will host free daily drop-in activities for ages 7-15. The supervised program runs Monday through Friday from June 8 through Aug. 14 at City parks and includes arts and crafts, games, sports and more.
Summer Streetfests
One of Bellflower's most anticipated traditions returns for six Thursday nights from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The events take place on Bellflower Boulevard between Flower Street and Mayne Street.
Attendees should bring lawn chairs to enjoy live music, food vendors, local restaurants, craft booths and B.R.I.M. activities. Free parking is available at City Hall and nearby parking structures. Click here to view the line-up!

Summer Pop-Up Event Series
The City of Bellflower will host free themed pop-up events every Tuesday in July from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at various parks:
Adaptive Recreation Events
Bellflower Parks and Recreation continues to provide inclusive recreational opportunities for individuals with adaptive needs and their families.
Bellflower Aquatic Center
The Bellflower Aquatic Center will offer summer programming from June 8 through Aug. 16 Recreation swim hours are available throughout the week for all ages. Due to construction, all programming will take place in the indoor pool this summer.
Parks and Recreation Month
July is Parks and Recreation Month, a nationwide celebration recognizing the importance of parks, recreational spaces and community programs. Residents are encouraged to explore Bellflower's parks, programs and community spaces all month long.
