Celebrate Black History Month with "Still We Rise" Concert in Alexandria

In honor of Black History Month, Washington Revels Jubilee Voices and the Office of Historic Alexandria's Division of African American History will celebrate African American music, history and culture in a concert, "Still We Rise." The show takes place on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at 3 p.m. at the Alexandria History Museum at The Lyceum. Reserve your FREE tickets: https://shop.alexandriava.gov/Events.aspx

Washington Revels Jubilee Voices

The concert will explore the themes of freedom, resistance, and resilience from the Civil War through the present day. Join us for an afternoon of traditional African American spirituals, poetry, ring shouts, banjo tunes, stories, and lively audience participation.

This annual Black History Month Concert is part of an almost 10-year collaboration between the Revels Jubilee Voices and the Division of African American History. The concert is free, interactive, and family friendly.
