Larson Blasts Illegal Trump Federal Worker Firing Spree

East Hartford, CT - Today, Rep. John B. Larson (CT-01) blasted Donald Trump's illegal purge of federal workers, calling it "an assault on democracy and the middle class." According to reports, mass terminations are underway across federal agencies under the direction of Project 2025 architect and Trump budget director Russell Vought. Two major unions representing federal employees, AFSCME and AFGE, have already filed suit to stop this unlawful campaign.

"First, Donald Trump shut down the government to rip health care away from millions of Americans. Now he's firing career civil servants - the people who protect our air and water, investigate tax cheats, and keep government working for the people," said Larson. "He's treating public service like a loyalty test and turning federal workers into political targets. These are the actions of a wannabe dictator who punishes anyone that doesn't bend the knee.
