On 25 September 2024, H.E. Mr. Maris Sangiampongssa, Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the Evening Reception hosted by the U.S. President and the First Lady during the 79th United Nations General Assembly at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, where he was greeted by the U.S. President Biden and confirmed Thailand's readiness to cooperate with the U.S. for even closer relations.
