SCO Secretariat Representative Attends the 14th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum

From June 24 to 26, 2026, the 14th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum was held in St. Petersburg, Russia.

As a key platform for dialogue among leading legal experts, government officials and business representatives, the forum brought together over 5,000 participants. Held under the motto "Time to Be in the Right," the forum emphasized the importance of timely responses to challenges in building a fair and sustainable foundation for the global system of international relations.

Kazybek Kochkonov, Advisor to the SCO Secretariat, speaking at the session "Territory of Legal Trust: A Platform for Effective Business in the CIS, EAEU, SCO and BRICS" held within the framework of the forum, noted that the development of trade and investment cooperation, transport connectivity and the digital economy within the SCO is impossible without the formation of a space of legal trust - one in which entrepreneurs clearly understand the rules of doing business, have confidence in the protection of their rights, and can count on effective dispute resolution.

He underscored the SCO's commitment to strengthening international law, respecting the sovereignty of states, developing mutually beneficial partnerships, and jointly seeking responses to common challenges.
