CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- The Clarksville City Council recognized a group of Parks and Recreation employees at its May 1 regular session for their work promoting accessible programming for the community.
Those recognized include Tina Boysha, Herman Brown, Penny Green, Ereka Clark, Autumn Griffin, and Kim Gilbert for their work in forming an adaptive needs roundtable group. This roundtable has been a driving force in developing adaptive programming, ensuring that the Parks and Recreation catalog offers accessible and inclusive opportunities for Clarksville residents.
"When I see members of the Parks & Rec team doing some of the things that they are doing for our community, it is incredibly important to me that we recognize them," said Councilman Brian Zacharias, who presented the group with certificates of appreciation.
"They've done a phenomenal job. They saw the need in the community, they worked with their community members to make it happen and every day, they surprise me with the new things that they come up with and the incredible work that they do," added Parks and Recreation Director Jennifer Letourneau.
