2025 Iowa State Fair People's Choice Best New Food is the Bacon Chicken Ranch Eggroll

The Bacon Chicken Ranch Eggroll, from Winn & Sara's Kitchen, is the winner of the 2025 People's Choice Best New Food Contest. There were 10,711 votes for the People's Choice Best New Food this year. The Bacon Chicken Ranch Eggroll received 44.7% of the votes. The Scotcheroo Shake from Over the Top placed second with 32.3% of the votes, and Three Little Pigs from Whatcha Smokin? BBQ was third with 23%. The Scotcheroo Shake was also named the Sweetest Fair Food in 2025.

Winn and Sara won the People's Choice Best New Food in 2024 with a Bacon Cheeseburger Eggroll. Other past winners include:

• 2025: Bacon Chicken Ranch Eggroll

Additional 2025 awards include: JR's SouthPork Ranch won the Best New Drink (with Alcohol) for their Pink Pony Cooler, and Best New Drink (Alcohol Free) was awarded to Jada's Funnel Cake for their Watermelon Lemonade. The Bubbly Bar & Bistro was also awarded the Best of Show for their location. The Choose Iowa Favorite Fair Food was awarded to the Dairy Zone for The Butter Cow Tornado.
