VIDEO RELEASE: Senator Moody Joins President Trump and EPA Administrator Zeldin to Roll Back Harmful Biden-Era Energy Restrictions

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Today, Senator Ashley Moody joined President Donald Trump and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin in the Oval Office as the President announced the rollback of harmful Biden-era energy restrictions.

Within her first 100 days in the Senate, Senator Moody successfully introduced and passed a Congressional Review Act to undo one of the Biden Administration's Green New Scam initiatives-which would have applied costly performance standards to commercial freezers and refrigerators.

For years-as both Florida's Attorney General and now as U.S. Senator-I have fought back against these harmful, ultra-progressive policies that drive up costs, hurt businesses, and undermine economic growth. BACKGROUND:

• The actions, a final rule revising the Biden-Harris Administration's 2023 Technology Transitions Rule and a proposed technical fix to the 2024 Emissions Reduction and Reclamation (ER&R), address costly overreaching restrictions limiting the type of refrigerants American businesses and families can use.
• Together, the Biden-era rules significantly increased grocery prices and the transportation of refrigerated goods to grocery stores and restaurants, among other essential items.

• Senator Moody introduced a CRA to roll back a Green New Deal initiative-irresponsible and illogical overregulation that was on track to create needless regulations for commercial coolers and freezers, causing high prices, impacting families and burdening businesses across the country-and passed the Senate.
• Senator Moody fought back against the Biden Green New Deal initiatives as former Florida Attorney General:
  • Taking multistate legal action to block electric vehicle mandate;
  • Filing a lawsuit challenging a Biden rule requiring all states with National Highway System mileage to set arbitrary emissions targets;
  • Securing judicial ruling blocking Biden administration's highway emissions rulethat tried to drive gas-powered cars off the road;
