Trading cards are a big business spanning generations, and Target has become a go-to destination for collectors with a wide assortment of Pokémon, NFL, MLB and NBA cards. In fact, our trading card business has grown nearly 70% year-to-date - on track to exceed $1 billion in sales this year.

Last fall, our team saw how quickly the trading card scene was heating up, so we doubled down to make sure we had the best selection ready for fans. That meant locking in the right inventory and setting Target up as a leader in the category and go-to spot for collectors.

In spring 2025, Pokémon cards accounted for the majority of trading card sales at Target, while NFL, MLB and NBA cards also drove major sales.

And we're just getting started. This season, we've got an exciting lineup of programs and exclusive card drops planned, many just in time for the holidays. It's all designed to keep the energy high and give collectors plenty of reasons to keep coming back through the end of the year.
