Chair Cassidy on Trump Pick for Deputy Labor Secretary

WASHINGTON - Today, U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), chair of the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee, released a statement following President Trump's announcement that he will nominate Keith Sonderling to be Deputy Secretary of the Department of Labor (DOL). He was previously Vice Chairman of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Acting Administrator of the Wage and Hour Division in DOL.

"Keith Sonderling has a great reputation and extensive experience in labor policy, running the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Wage and Hour Division," said Dr. Cassidy. "I look forward to meeting with him and the committee considering his nomination."
