HARRISBURG - More than $4.6 million in state grant funding will be allocated to 22 Beaver County projects focused on improving municipal infrastructure and public safety according to Sen. Elder Vogel, Jr. (R-47) and Reps. Roman Kozak (R-14), Josh Kail (R-15) and Robert Matzie (D-16).
The funding was administered by the Commonwealth Financing Authority.
"Our municipalities continue to prioritize making our communities better, stronger and safer," said Vogel. "These projects are proof positive of their hard work and dedication and I am pleased that they all have received this critical funding to help them get closer to completion."
"This is the result of a team effort between legislators, DCED and local organizations to bring much-needed funds back to our region," Kozak said. "These projects will be a great benefit to our area, and I'm happy to see all our hard work paying off!"
"These investments reaffirm the commitment to addressing needs in an effective manner," said Kail. "The allocations will play a significant role in delivering meaningful results and ensuring these dollars make a lasting impact in our region."

The following projects were awarded Statewide Local Share Account funding generated by the PA Horse Development and Gaming Act which distributes gaming revenue:
Aliquippa Municipal Water Authority will receive $300,000 to cover construction, engineering and administration costs for Phase I of sanitary sewer defect repairs in the City of Aliquippa.
Ambridge Borough will receive $100,000 to purchase municipal equipment and vehicles for the borough as well as another $203,440 to cover construction, engineering and administration costs for critical road infrastructure improvements in the borough.
Ambridge Water Authority will receive $200,000 to cover construction, engineering and administrative costs for the Maplewood Avenue Water Main Replacement in Ambridge Borough.
Beaver Borough will receive $116,268 to purchase and install 12 pedestrian crossing systems.
Beaver County on behalf of the Neighborhood North Museum of Play will receive $50,000 to cover construction and engineering costs to renovate the vacant News Tribune Building to create a permanent home for the museum.
Beaver Falls City will receive $150,000 to purchase newer, safer police vehicles.
Center Township will receive $205,335 to cover construction, engineering and administrative costs for the renovation of Sherwood Park and Sylvan Crest Park.
Center Township Sanitary Authority will receive $333,265 to cover construction, engineering and administrative costs for the township's sanitary sewer rehabilitation project which include upgrading approximately 4,265 linear feet of eight-inch diameter interceptor sanitary sewer and upgrade approximately 1,005 linear feet of 10-inch diameter interceptor sanitary sewer as well as manholes and related appurtenances from St. James Park to Edgewater Drive.
Center Township Water Authority will receive $389,318 to cover infrastructure/site preparation, engineering and administrative costs for the township's Water Distribution System Improvements project as well as another $500,000 to cover construction, engineering and administrative costs for the Bunker Hill Water Storage Tank Replacement project.
Conway Borough on behalf of the Beaver Valley Regional Police Department will receive $300,000 to purchase six vehicles to be used in Baden, Conway, and Freedom boroughs, and Rochester Township.
Darlington Township will receive $90,399 to purchase two new police vehicles to use in the township.
Economy Borough will receive $150,000 to install a permanent restroom facility at the Economy Borough Municipal Park.
Evans City Borough will receive $300,000 to cover engineering, professional services and administrative costs to improve the West Main Street culvert.
Franklin Township will receive $300,000 to cover acquisition costs to acquire 392 acres of the Hereford Manor Lakes property.
Harmony Township will receive $50,000 to cover engineering and administrative costs for the township's preliminary landslide investigation project which includes a topographic survey, geotechnical investigations along Forest, Ridge and Valley roads, a utility investigation and Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) for utilities.
Industry Borough Municipal Authority will receive $194,832 to cover construction and engineering costs to improve the borough's chlorine injection system.
Monaca Borough will receive $61,788 to purchase and install 10 vehicle-mounted camera systems as well as purchase 15 body camera systems.
New Brighton Borough on behalf of the New Brighton Volunteer Fire Department will receive $57,404 to purchase a new utility vehicle to serve as a command vehicle for the volunteer fire department.
New Sewickley Township will receive $126,000 to cover renovation costs to replace the flat roof on the township's municipal building.
North Sewickley Township will receive $30,000 purchase body and dash cameras for the police department.
Ohioville Borough Municipal Authority will receive $180,000 to cover construction and engineering costs to build a garage for the authority.
Patterson Township will receive $302,197 to cover construction, engineering and administrative costs for stormwater improvements along Bonnieview Drive.
The Commonwealth Financing Authority was established in 2004 as an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development to administer Pennsylvania's economic stimulus packages.
