Kids’ Juneteenth Programs with Equity Kids

Celebrate Juneteenth with Equity Kids through two engaging programs exploring identity, justice, and the legacy of freedom.

Kids' Juneteenth: Let's Talk About Identity

Wednesday, June 17, 3-4 p.m.

La Farge Library

For ages 6-9
Children and their families will explore the story of Juneteenth and activist Opal Lee while learning how culture, heritage, and identity shape the holidays we celebrate.

Kids' Juneteenth: Let's Talk About Justice

Thursday, June 18, 6:30-7:30 p.m.

Main Library

For ages 10-12

Participants will discuss justice, equality, and freedom through interactive activities inspired by the story of Opal Lee and the significance of Juneteenth.

These programs are presented by Equity Kids and made possible through the support of Friends of the Santa Fe Public Library.
