Scam Alert: New traffic scam via text

A new scam is circulating via text messages instructing recipients to visit a Court Portal and resolve a traffic matter immediately. The text references a judge, Kansas District Court, and the Kansas Turnpike Authority. The text lists consequences including fines and impacts to driving privileges and vehicle registration.

The U.S. District Court for the District of Kansas does not send text messages to collect fines or list consequences. Contact the Clerk's Office if you have questions about a text, email, or call you have received.
