SOLAR-1 CCOR-2 Now Fully Operational and on Our Webpage

Coronagraph imagery is now available from NOAA's Space Weather Observations at L1 to Advance Readiness (SOLAR-1). The Compact Coronagraph 2 (CCOR-2) instrument was declared operational in June 2026, and as the last instrument to reach this milestone, the SOLAR-1 observatory has now also been declared operational. The new imagery is available on our webpage with new images provided at a 15-minute cadence. Additionally, the CCOR-1 imagery viewer on our webpage will have some subtle display differences, including how orientation is displayed and the date/time format. Please read through the various tabs available underneath the imagery on the main "Coronagraph" page by selecting SOLAR-1 CCOR-2 and reviewing the Usage, Details, History, and Data sections to understand more about the CCOR-2 instrument, observations, and the new artifacts visible in the imagery.
