Agilent Technologies, Inc. and Virscidian, LLC today announced an expanded collaboration to enhance interoperability between Agilent OpenLab CDS and Virscidian Analytical Studio. The solution enables scientists to seamlessly access chromatography data and orchestrate high-throughput workflows, including purification. It delivers greater efficiency for pharma and biopharma customers engaged in drug discovery, medicinal chemistry, and high-throughput purification processes, where operational performance is critical.
Under the collaboration, the companies are co-developing an integrated approach that will enable OpenLab CDS and Analytical Studio software to be connected via an integrated application programming interface (API) that facilitates real-time communication and streamlined data sharing between the two platforms. This new integration will create a more cohesive user experience, reducing manual intervention in experiments, and maximizing the utility of the hardware.
"We are excited to announce this strategic partnership between Agilent and Virscidian, combining our strengths to deliver enhanced value and innovative solutions that directly benefit our customers," said John Beary, AVP Marketing, Productivity Solutions Division at Agilent.
"Scientists should be empowered with the flexibility to do their work efficiently and in a fully integrated way, especially in complex workflows like purification. By partnering with Agilent, we're simplifying data access and workflow automation so teams can move faster with confidence. The API integration directions are about reducing difficulties today and unlocking more dynamic workflows in the future. With this collaboration, customers will have unrestricted use of their acquired data with neither Virscidian nor Agilent placing limitations on where it can be copied, used, or processed," said Mark Bayliss, CTO at Virscidian.
