Newly Filed Cases Page Added to Supreme Court Website

The California Supreme Court has launched a new page on its website that identifies all new matters filed with the court during the previous week. The court's New Case Filings page, which is accessible through the court's homepage, provides the filing date, title, case type (civil or criminal), and case number for each new appeal, original proceeding, or other matter filed with the court. Each entry on the page, which will be updated every Tuesday morning, also includes a link to the case's online docket.

"Much like the court's livecasting of its oral arguments, our convening of special oral argument sessions across the state, and other initiatives the court has taken to promote transparency, this new feature on our website enhances understanding of the court's work by making our evolving docket more visible to the public," said Chief Justice Patricia Guerrero.
