Positive Declaration
Orange County - The Village of Woodbury, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed annexation of approximately 197 acres of land from the Town/Village of Woodbury to the Town of Palm Tree/Village of Kiryas Joel may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) must be prepared.
The action involves the Acres Road II Holding LLC petitioning for annexation of territory comprised of five tax lots, Lots 213-1-28.11; 213-1-28.12; 213-1-29.1; 225-1-1; 225-1-2, in the Village of Woodbury and Town of Woodbury, Orange County, New York, totaling approximately 196.978 acres ("Project Site") from Woodbury to the Village of Kirya Joel and Town of Palm Tree. The annexation, if approved, would affect an immediate zoning change to the Project Site because the Project Site would no longer be subject to Woodbury's current R-2A designation. If the annexation is approved, the Project Site would either not be subject to any zoning constraints or, more likely, would be rezoned to either the Residential or Commercial zone designation that Kiryas Joel has in its Zoning Code.
The project is located at Ace Farm on County Highway 105 and Acres Road in the Village of Woodbury, New York.
