UW and Wyoming APEX Accelerator to Host ‘Building Blocks’ Webinars in October

Small-business owners will have the opportunity to learn how to create a winning government contracting business proposal Tuesday, Oct. 22, and Thursday, Oct. 24.

Eileen Kent will lead a two-part APEX Accelerator and Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network webinar titled "Building Blocks of a Winning Proposal" 9-11 a.m. both days. To register, go here. Registration cost is $89. The two-part webinar series is sponsored by the Wyoming Business Council.

Wyoming APEX Accelerator, part of the Wyoming Small Business Development Center (SBDC) Network housed at the University of Wyoming, is the state's expert in government contracting assistance.

Attendees will learn how to identify more government contracting opportunities they can win; how to interpret a solicitation correctly; and be confident they can meet their contract terms and conditions. Small-business owners will understand how to align and energize their proposal teams throughout the process and navigate the pitfalls to avoid from the first day.

The webinar is designed for proposal writers, managers, business owners and sales executives who are responsible for preparing proposals. The on-demand, four-hour training program includes all training materials, complete with an example of a proposal deconstruct.

Kent, president of Custom Keynotes LLC, sold and led sales teams, winning millions in federal business for Brook Furniture Rental and $65 million for Tecta America, selling to major federal facilities nationwide as a prime and subcontractor. For over 22 years, Kent has shared her skills and insights in these proven tactics as a speaker and trainer with more than 10,000 federal contract owners, sales executives and proposal writers across America.
