Muldrew and Shea Earn All-OVC Honors, Power SIUE to Record Finish

SIUE women's cross country finished in fifth place out of 11 teams in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship. This is the highest the women's team has ever placed since joining the OVC in 2012.

Christy Muldrew finished the women's 6k in third place with a time of 21:11.42, setting a new program record and beating her previous personal best (21:31.60).

This third-place finish is the highest an individual runner has place in the OVC championship for SIUE women's cross country. The last highest finish was in 2021 when Kassidy Dexheimer placed 11th (18:46.2)

Following Muldrew was Kinze Shea in 13th place with a time of 22:00.75.

Muldrew has been recognized to the All-OVC first team and Shea the All-OVC second team. This is the first time SIUE has had two runners receive all-conference honors in the same meet.

Also competing in the women's race was Erica Woodard (16th/22:08.65), Ana Keller (68th/24:00.81), Kaylee Sprague (70th/24:10.01), Emilee Franklin (83rd/25:08.81) and Arianna Neisen (85th/24:49.30)

The men's cross country team finished ninth overall. They were led by Tanner Emerson who place 37th, crossing the finish line at 25:42.12.

Also running for the men's team was Aaron Conderman (42nd/25:48.65), Logan Luttrell (48th/26:09.92), Jack Willenborg (49th/26:13.32), D'Andre Watson (69th/27:03.89), Reece Wolf (73rd/27:17.40), Cullen Krieg(77th/28:02.02) and Wyatt Doyle (79th/ 28:10.91).
