On behalf of the people and Government of the United States of America, I extend my congratulations to the people of Vanuatu on their National Day.
The opening of the U.S. Embassy in Port Vila last July marked a new chapter in our partnership. In the wake of the devastating December 2024 earthquake in Vanuatu, the United States stands with the ni-Vanuatu people in recovery and resilience. We remain committed to strengthening our partnership in the years ahead.
As you celebrate this important occasion, we look forward to deepening the close and collaborative friendship between our two countries.
