SWOSU Hosting Spring 2025 Commencement Ceremonies

Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU) will host four commencement ceremonies on the Weatherford campus in May for the Spring 2025 graduating seniors. Eligible participants for the ceremonies include students who will complete their associate, bachelor's, master's, or doctoral degrees following the 2025 spring and summer semesters.

The commencement ceremony for the College of Pharmacy will be held on Friday, May 2, at 7 p.m. in the Pioneer Event Center. Graduates participating in this ceremony should line up no later than 6:30 p.m.

The following week, three commencement ceremonies will take place, also at the Pioneer Event Center. The schedule for the ceremonies honoring graduates with associate, bachelor's, and master's degrees is as follows:

Friday, May 9, at 6 p.m.: SWOSU College of Nursing and Health Professions

Graduates should line up no later than 5:30 p.m. in the Large Gym of the Rankin Williams Fieldhouse.

Degree programs recognized at this ceremony include the following:

  • Associate of Applied Science in OTA, PTA, Medical Laboratory Technician, Radiologic Technology, and Surgical Technology
  • Associate of Science in Health Science
  • Bachelor's degrees in Health Care Administration, Health Information Management, Health Sciences (including the BAS), Public Health, and Nursing (BSN, RN-BSN, LPN-BSN)
  • Master's degrees in Healthcare Information Management, Health Science, and Nursing

Saturday, May 10, at 9 a.m.: SWOSU College of Arts & Sciences and SWOSU College of Business and Technology

Graduates should line up no later than 8:30 a.m. in the Rankin Williams Fieldhouse. College of Arts & Sciences graduates will line up in the Small Gym. College of Business and Technology graduates will line up in the Large Gym.

Degree programs included in the College of Arts & Sciences include the following:

  • Associate of Science in General Studies
  • Bachelor's degrees in Art and Communication Arts, Biological Sciences, Chemistry/Physics, Interdisciplinary Studies, Language and Literature, Mathematics, Music, and Social Sciences
  • Master's degrees in Art Education, Biomedical Science and Microbiology Education, Mathematics Education, Music, Music Education, Music Therapy, Natural Science Education, and Social Sciences Education

Degrees programs included in the Dobson College of Business and Technology include the following:

  • Associate of Science in General Business
  • Bachelor's degrees in Accounting, Aerospace Management, Agricultural Business, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Entrepreneurship, Finance, General Business, Human Resource Management, Leadership and Organizational Studies, Management, Marketing, Organizational Leadership, Engineering Technology, and Applied Engineering Management
  • Master's degrees in Business Administration and Management

Saturday, May 10, at 12 p.m.: SWOSU College of Education and Behavioral Sciences

Line-up will take place in the Large Gym of Rankin Williams Fieldhouse. Graduates should arrive no later than 11:30 a.m.

Degree programs recognized at this ceremony include the following:

  • Associate of Science in Wildland Firefighting
  • Bachelor's degrees in Education (Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Special Education), Exercise Science, Health & Physical Education, Sports Management, Park & Wildlife Law Enforcement, Parks and Recreation Management, and Psychology
  • Master's degrees in Community Counseling, Education (Classroom Teaching, Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Special Education), Education Administration, Health and Physical Education, Instructional Coaching, Parks and Recreation Management, Reading Specialist, School Counseling, School Psychometry, School Psychology, and Sports Management
  • Education Specialist in School Psychology
