Benderson Breaks Ground On Redevelopment Of Palm Bay Shopping Center

PALM BAY, Fla. (November 2, 2026) - Benderson Development recently broke ground on Palm Bay Shopping Center, marking its entry into the Palm Bay market and the next chapter for a Publix-anchored property that has served the area for nearly five decades. Palm Bay Mayor Rob Medina, Publix and city leaders joined Benderson for the groundbreaking ceremony.

The approximately 135,000-square-foot shopping center, located at 4711 Babcock St. NE, has been demolished to make way for a complete redevelopment featuring a new Publix store and Publix Liquors, approximately 20,000 square feet of adjacent small-shop retail space and two outparcel buildings. The project will transform the retail site into a modern shopping center designed to better serve Palm Bay residents and visitors.
