Nashville-area alumni recognized in Business Journal 40-Under-40 class

The Nashville Business Journal recently announced its 40-Under-40 2026 class. This annual award recognizes young professionals who are shaping Nashville business and their communities for the better. This year's class represents the next generation of trailblazers-top business leaders under the age of 40 who are driving innovation and achieving remarkable results in their industries and communities.

Lipscomb alumni named to the 2026 list:

  • Alicia Bell ('13, Bachelor of Arts in psychology), CEO, GraceWorks Ministries
  • Mary Cypress Metz ('12, M.Ed., Teaching, Learning and Leading), senior vice president of strategy, State Collaborative on Reforming Education (SCORE)
  • Vanessa Helbig Johnson, (non-degreed alumna), senior vice president of community programs, YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee

They will be recognized at a special reception in Nashville on March 19.
