Investigation into North Spokane Fatal Stabbing Continues

Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at 3:40 p.m.

On February 22nd, 2026, at approximately 1pm, Spokane Police Officers responded to a motel in the 9500 block of North Division. 911 received a call from an employee at the location advising of an injured male inside one of the rooms.

Upon arrival, officers located a male who appeared to have suffered multiple stab wounds. Officers immediately began providing life saving measures until medics arrived. Despite the efforts of officers and medics, the male succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit (MCU) were called to the scene and took over the investigation. This investigation is still ongoing, and no arrests have been made at this time.

This appears to be an isolated event and there is no active threat to the public. The identity of the deceased will be released by the Spokane County Medical Examiner.
