WRM Water & Environment

On October 30, 2026, Geosyntec Consultants completed its acquisition of WRM Water & Environment (WRM), bringing together WRM's specialized surface water expertise in Australia with Geosyntec's global environmental, water, mining, geotechnical, and infrastructure capabilities.

Established in 2003, WRM has built a strong reputation for technical quality, practical advice, and client service. Its team of 40 engineers in Brisbane and Darwin works across Australia, specializing in the numerical modeling of flooding and water resources to support mine operations, infrastructure, government approvals, insurance assessments, and independent expert opinion in legal matters. WRM's broader capabilities include stormwater and water quality management, hydraulic design, river engineering and geomorphology, erosion and sediment control, dam-related services, and environmental impact assessments.

Together, Geosyntec and WRM look forward to offering greater technical depth and expanded capabilities to address complex water, environmental, infrastructure, and resource challenges.
