"We are continuing to have real conversations about the Muni's budget," said Assembly Vice Chair Anna Brawley. "Stepping back from this year's budget, it's time for everyone to learn how our budget currently works, what will happen in the future if we don't make changes, and how we can work together as a community to develop solutions so we can achieve a healthy fiscal future for Anchorage."

Assembly Member Baldwin Day added, "What happens to Anchorage's bottom line is everyone's choice. We need community members to have this important information so we can make tough, responsible, clear-eyed decisions together in the near future. Please help us get the word out to anyone interested in understanding what our municipal budget looks like now, the challenges we face, and where we go from here."

Assembly Members Brawley and Baldwin Day previously recorded a presentation covering the municipal budget. Our Muni, Our Budget offers residents the opportunity to share their feedback, discuss tradeoffs, and highlight the services they want to prioritize with their neighbors. Please note this event is not focused on the ballot and bond proposition proposals scheduled for public hearings on January 27. To comment on the bond and ballot propositions before the Assembly takes action, you can provide public testimony at the Regular Assembly Meeting on January 27 or email your comments to the Assembly.
