TRAFFIC ALERT: Lane & ramp closures near the Holmes Bridge in Jackson County, May 27-28

JACKSON COUNTY - The Missouri Department of Transportation will conduct various lane and ramp closures on I-670 near the Holmes bridge in Kansas City for signage work, beginning on Wednesday, May 27 at 7:00 PM until Thursday, May 28 at 5:00 AM. All work permitting. See below for traffic modifications:

Evening and overnight lane closures:

  • Crews will close the right lane on I-670 westbound just east of Charlotte to Holmes.
  • Crews will close the right lane on I-670 eastbound at McGee to US-71.

Evening and overnight ramp closures:

  • Crews will close the ramp on I-670 westbound to Locust.
  • Crews will close the ramp on Turman/McGee to I-670 eastbound.

Motorists are reminded to slow down and pay attention while driving in work zones. Not all work zones look alike. Work zones can also be short-term, temporary lane closures to make quick repairs or remove debris from the roadway.
