People with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can also face cancer, even patients who are diagnosed at young ages. Felicity Harper, Ph.D., clinical psychologist and member of the Supportive Oncology Multidisciplinary Team at Karmanos, suggested that emotional support can help those patients as they go through their cancer treatments. She gave examples of what friends, family and caregivers can do to help deal with the stress of cancer the patient may be facing.
