Lauren Fox Joins Features Design

We're thrilled to welcome Lauren Fox to the features design team as a staff art director. Lauren brings multidisciplinary experience spanning brand, editorial and digital design.

Lauren began working at The Times in 2023 as a freelance designer at the Magazine. There, she commissioned illustrations, designed print features and collaborated on interactive stories . In 2024, she started working with the Features Design team as a freelance art director. She impressed us with her strong eye, talent with illustration and collaborative spirit. During a long stint on Book Review, she commissioned a number of striking covers . One of her commissions , an animation of Sam Altman by John Provencher , was a Society of Publication Designers medal finalist this year.

A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Lauren has previously worked at Google, Pentagram and a number of other design studios. She just finished an assignment at Bloomberg Businessweek.
