How ACP members can support Los Angeles wildfire recovery and aid efforts

The wildfires in Los Angeles are being described as the most destructive in the region's history. ACP members who wish to provide support in the recovery efforts can help via the following organizations. There are also resources available for physicians impacted by the wildfires.

Ways ACP members can help those affected by the L.A. wildfires

Physicians for a Healthy California (PHC) is accepting donations that will used to help physicians who are victims of disasters to help restore their medical practices.

California Community Foundation supports communities with both intermediate recovery and long-term resilience. Efforts are focused on rebuilding and restoring the lives of California's most affected and underserved populations.

World Central Kitchen's Relief Team is in Southern California to support first responders and families impacted by wildfires in the Los Angeles area. WCK is working across the the region to provide nourishing meals to people in need.

Mutual Aid LA Network is working to connect people to resources and services, through a variety of means. Donations can be made directly to the network online.

The SPCA of Los Angeles is accepting donations to help animals affected by disaster. Donations help support DART, the Disaster Animal Response Team.

Aid for physicians impacted by wildfires

The California Medical Association and Los Angeles County Medical Association are working to help physicians facing challenges and disruptions in patient care due to the ongoing fires.

California Statewide Wildfire Recovery Resources offers information on rebuilding, including navigating the repair and rebuilding process, processing insurance claims, and accessing financial assistance. Physicians can find guidance on restoring their practices through these resources.
