Free screening of 'The Librarians,' a documentary about protecting the right to read

A free screening of the documentary film "The Librarians" will be in Fraser Hall 101 on Feb. 26 at 5 p.m.

"The Librarians," directed by Kim A. Snyder, is a documentary film that explores the issues around censorship and discrimination in school districts and communities, and the parents, educators and librarians who work to protect the right to read in their school and public libraries.

Sponsored by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, Western Libraries, the WWU Department of History, Fairhaven College, the Department of Global Humanities and Religions, the Department of Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies, Whatcom CARES, and the Whatcom Peace and Justice Center, the screening is free and open to the general public.
