Focusing on "Computility, Network, Data, and Intelligence" to Observe Trends, Identify Methods, and Plan for Development
Dr. Ouyang Ye attended the main forum of the conference with a keynote speech titled "Integrated Communication, Computility, and Intelligence: Catalyzing the Evolution of AI RAN." He emphasized that in the AI Native era, the evolution of RAN (Radio Access Network) hinges on the convergence of AI RAN and OPEN RAN. AI RAN encompasses three key elements: AI and RAN (integrating and fusing artificial intelligence with network hardware and software infrastructure), AI on RAN (embedding AI hardware, software, and infrastructure within RAN, enabling AI applications to operate and load on base station control servers, DUs, etc., thereby conserving intermediate and edge AIDC computility and providing flexible and convenient AI services), and AI for RAN (synergizing AI+RAN and RAN+AI).
He introduced AsiaInfo's "Integrated Communication, Computility, and Intelligence 5G Private Network" for AI RAN as the industry's first solution to seamlessly integrate "communication connectivity, elementary computing, and endogenous AI" capabilities. This innovative solution boasts four key technologies and offers three core values. Leveraging its cutting-edge 5G private network products and solutions, AsiaInfo is committed to providing industries such as communications, energy sources, and transportation with "one-stop" stable and reliable communication, highly efficient heterogeneous computility, and convenient and exclusive AI services. This, in turn, aids enterprises in achieving "subtraction on investment, multiplication on resources, addition on capability" during their digital intelligence transformation.

At the forum dedicated to "Computility and Computility Network Construction, and Business Innovation in the AI Era," Dr. Ye Xiaozhou, Chief Scientist of AsiaInfo, delivered a keynote speech titled "Endogenous Computility Network: Enabling the Wireless Convergence of Communication, Sensing, Computility, and Intelligence." He firmly believes that "the convergence of communication, sensing, computility, and intelligence" will emerge as a cornerstone scenario for 6G. AsiaInfo stands at the forefront of the industry by pioneering an "endogenous computility network" to realize the technical system and methodology for 6G's "convergence of communication, sensing, computing, and intelligence," and has independently developed a comprehensive 5G private network product suite that supports this groundbreaking technology. Without altering the fundamental functional architecture of the 5G network or adding additional computility devices, these products empower customers to build "converged-communication-sensing-computility-intelligence" digital infrastructure. These products have found widespread application in vertical industries such as nuclear power, wind power, thermal power, and photovoltaics, successfully achieving "a single private network system supporting a multitude of innovative business scenarios."

At the forum, Dr. Wang Jun, Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of iDigital, delivered a keynote speech titled "Computing East Data in the West: Trends, Scenarios, and Opportunities." ("Computing East Data in the West" means to channel more computing resources from the eastern areas to the less developed western regions) He emphasized that "Computing East Data in the West" represents a strategic choice for realizing large-scale and intensified national computility construction, fostering high-quality economic and social development. Presently, China's computility resources are steadily progressing and being implemented in an orderly manner, centred around five "integrations": the "integrated layout of diverse computility," the "integrated collaboration among computility in the east, central, and west regions," the "integrated promotion of computility development and security assurance," the "integrated fusion of computility and green electricity," and the "integrated application of computility, data, and algorithms." The trend of "computility and data integration," where computility facilitates data aggregation and data drives the appreciation of computility, offers extensive business opportunities for upstream and downstream industry participants. AsiaInfo and iDigital will harness their "digital intelligence," "cloud network," and "IT" product systems, along with consulting and planning capabilities, digital-intelligence operations and other capabilities to assist government and enterprise clients across various industries in seizing the strategic opportunities presented by "Computing East Data in the West," advancing their digital intelligence transformation, and achieving sustainable growth.

According to the report, the communication industry in 2024 exhibits six significant characteristics: Firstly, the telecommunication industry's growth has decelerated, yet it remains resilient and stable; Secondly, the roles of the "new triplets" in the information and communication industry during the AI era has become increasingly prominent; Thirdly, infrastructure has shifted from networking to computing, with computility deployment emerging as a new network construction trend; Fourthly, service providers' core businesses has accelerated their upgrading process while pursuing stability and growth; Fifthly, the development and utilization of data elements have intensified, leading to the emergence of data infrastructure; Sixthly, "AI + computility" has opened up a new market landscape for equipment suppliers. In the future, enterprises must identify their roles in the AI world.
Additionally, the conference unveiled the "Top Ten Technology Trends in the Communication Industry for 2025" through a "digital human." These trends, formed based on nominations from multiple CTOs, frontline leaders, and senior industry experts, cover areas such as 6G, autonomous networks, integrated communication-sensing-computility-intelligence, as well as the low-altitude economy. Industry expert Dr. Ouyang Ye was invited to participate in the nomination process.
