Galliford Try recognised with Developing Future Talent Award

Galliford Try has been shortlisted for the Developing Future Talent Award at this year's Education Estates People's Awards, recognising organisations that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to attracting, developing and retaining talent in the education sector.

The nomination reflects Galliford Try's investment in apprenticeships, graduate programmes, mentoring, career development, and supporting people at every stage of their careers.

The business is active in promoting the industry within schools through initiatives such as Mentoring the Next Generation, which encourages young women to explore careers in construction, and its partnership with The School Outreach Company. The company is already ranked the UK's number one construction and civil engineering employer for apprentices and graduates by the JobCrowd and is a Platinum member of The 5% Club. In addition, Galliford Try is a leading employer for people leaving the Armed Forces and has a commitment to supporting the Ex-Forces community, by attracting, retaining, and supporting ex-forces personnel, Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs), and military spouses. This has also been emphasised, with a listing in the Top 50 employers as named by the GREAT British Employers of Veterans programme. Commenting on the award nomination, Vikki Skene, HR Director, said: "Education Estates is a key event for our sector, and we are delighted to be shortlisted for this award. Developing future talent is essential to ensuring the long-term success of the construction industry, and we are proud to support people from all backgrounds through initiatives that inspire, develop and create meaningful career opportunities." Winners will be announced on 19 October in Manchester.
