On November 6, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Sweden hosted the "Insights into China's Governance" Open Day Event. Mr. WanDegang, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. delivered remarks, and young diplomats of the Embassy interacted with more than 40 university students from Stockholm UN Association Youth Section, Assembly of International Affairs of Stockholm School of Economics.
The event opened with a video commemorating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Sweden. Mr. Wan introduced the distinctive character of the Communist Party of China in its self-reform, the achievements of Chinese modernization, China's experience in poverty reduction, the guiding principles of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, and China's foreign policy. He encouraged Swedish youth to visit China, gain a true, multi-dimensional, and panoramic picture of China, and contribute to exchanges and cooperation between China and Sweden, as well as to world peace and prosperity.
The event also featured four experience zones: tea ceremony, folk music, intangible cultural heritage, and Hanfu (traditional Han clothing). Guests were enthusiastic and actively participated in the event, creating a friendly and lively atmosphere.
