UC, GE Aerospace celebrate Next Engineers grads
High school students take first steps toward careers in engineering

The University of Cincinnati helped 28 students celebrate their graduation from the GE Aerospace Foundation's Next Engineers program, which prepares students to pursue degrees and careers in engineering.
Students from the program's third academy cohort celebrated their graduation alongside family, friends and GE Aerospace and Next Engineers leaders at UC. UC is the educational partner for the local Next Engineers program the GE Aerospace Foundation launched in 2021.

Students who complete the Engineering Academy program and enroll in a qualified engineering or engineering-related degree program receive scholarships to support their education toward becoming engineers. Since launching in 2021, the Next Engineers program has reached more than 30,000 students around the world and awarded more than $3 million in scholarships.
"The GE Aerospace Foundation is proud to celebrate the accomplishments of these talented students," said GE Aerospace Foundation President Megan Thurlow. "This program is a proven pathway for engaging students who want to pursue engineering."
The GE Aerospace Foundation announced in January it was extending its program at UC through 2035.
"It has been such a pleasure to see how these graduates have advanced through the Next Engineers program," said Whitney Gaskins, UC associate dean of professional development and community impact.
"The University of Cincinnati is excited to see so many of these students discover their passion for engineering and looks forward to seeing what they will accomplish as they continue to excel in this field."
