TIME has recently revealed the inaugural TIME100 Companies Industry Leaders, a new shortlist for the annual TIME100 Most Influential Companies list, where Lindblad Expeditions was honored as one of the 10 Most Influential Travel and Tourism Companies in 2026.
To assemble the lists, TIME solicited nominations across sectors and polled its global network of contributors and correspondents, as well as outside experts. Then TIME editors evaluated each on key factors, including impact, innovation, ambition, and success. The result is a diverse group of companies shaping global business, one industry at a time.
"We are honored to be recognized by the TIME100 list as a leader in travel," said Natalya Leahy, CEO of Lindblad Expeditions. "Sixty years ago, Lars-Eric Lindblad's pioneering voyage to Antarctica helped define a way of exploring the world grounded in curiosity and responsibility. That foundation continues to guide us today - through our commitment to expertise, conservation, science, and meaningful growth. As demand for transformative travel continues to strengthen, we are thoughtfully evaluating opportunities to expand our fleet and portfolio in ways that remain true to our purpose. This recognition reflects our enduring belief that travel should deepen understanding and help people see the world differently."
Lindblad Expeditions was recognized for its leadership in purpose-driven expedition travel and its decades-long commitment to conservation, scientific discovery, and education through exploration. The company's relationship with National Geographic and impactful initiatives, including the
Visiting Scientists Program, the
LEX-NG Fund, and the
Grosvenor Teacher Fellowship, demonstrates how exploration can expand knowledge and foster stewardship of the natural world.
