Concord, NH - Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Madbury Police Department Chief Joseph McGann announce further information concerning an ongoing investigation into four deaths inside a home in Madbury, New Hampshire.

At approximately 8:21 P.M. on August 18, 2025, troopers of the New Hampshire State Police responded to a home on Moharimet Drive in Madbury in response to a 911 call. The caller reported that several people were deceased. Upon arrival, troopers found the 911 callers and made entry into the home. Troopers found the bodies of four family members: two adults and two children. A third child, a toddler, was alive and suffered no physical injuries.

Each of the deceased family members appears to have suffered gunshot wounds and were pronounced dead at the scene. At this time, detectives are investigating this event as a potential murder/suicide.

While the investigation is still ongoing, there is no known threat to the general public at this time.

The identities of the deceased family members are expected to be released later today once all next of kin have been identified. An additional release is expected once all autopsies have been conducted.
