Burke and Urban Scholars: Past, Present and Possibility, April 16

April's Lemonis Center Campus Partner Spotlight, featuring the Burke Scholars Program and the Urban Scholars Program, will be held Thursday, April 16, at noon in the Lemonis Center Multipurpose Room.

This session will be led by Hannah Francis, director of the Burke Scholarship Program, and Warren Scherer, director of the Urban Scholars Program.

Burke Scholars has a 30-year history at Marquette and Urban Scholars turns 20 this year. Both are part of the Community Engagement and Social Responsibility pillar within the Division of Belonging and Student Affairs.

Presenters will focus on the context, scholars' trends and wins, and where both programs may be headed in the next academic year and beyond. This session will provide insight into two of MU's mission-aligned anchor programs and how each incorporates excellence, leadership and service. The session will conclude with a Q&A portion.
