What started as a routine appliance purchase at The Home Depot's Monroe store turned into a long-standing partnership with Industrial Furnace Co., highlighting the company's ability to scale alongside its Pro customers.
When customer Jake walked into the store, it seemed like any other visit. But a conversation with Kitchen Designer Steve, Specialty Assistant Store Manager Ali and Store Manager Will revealed a much larger opportunity: a multifamily build-out that needed more than standard support. Recognizing the project's potential and complexity, the store team activated The Home Depot's Pro sales network and merchant teams. Account Manager Maddy, Pro Sales Manager Garret, Outside Sales Director Lainey, Inside Sales Support Representative Angie, District Services Manager Howard and Pro Product Specialist Zach were brought in to scale the project from a few units to a full-scale development.
To eliminate friction and keep the project moving, the team deployed a suite of specialized Pro services:
One Solution for the Whole Project: Connecting multiple product categories, the team coordinated with top-tier vendor partners including Andersen, PPG, Boise Cascade, and Mega Granite to be a single solution, saving our customers time.
Flexible Financing: Through our Trade Credit program (a commercial house account), Industrial Furnace Co. had the ability to delay invoicing until materials were delivered. The project shifted from transactional purchasing to a seamless, credit-backed procurement system. This financial agility allows Pros to scale multiple jobsites simultaneously without the constraint of traditional retail payments.
On-Site Logistics: The Pro team provided hands-on, dedicated support. From executing blueprint takeoffs to regular jobsite visits, Account Managers ensured that the supply chain matched the real-time velocity of the build.
Tech-Enabled Project Management: By leveraging Pro Xtra loyalty benefits and AI-powered tools like the Material List Builder, the team provided automated purchase tracking, volume-based pricing, and real-time updates on a catalog of over three million SKUs.

From initial blueprints to the final grand opening, our Pro Team is the backbone of the build. "The Mill project is a perfect example of how we can bridge the gap between the convenience of retail and the needs of an industrial-scale supply," the team shared. "Traditional wholesalers often specialize in a single trade, but we have the capabilities to support the entire project from its inception. We offer a category breadth, from the first shipment of lumber to the final appliance installation, that you just won't find under one roof anywhere else."
Join the team that powers the Pro every day.
