Ernst Names Small Business of the Week, Five Sons Landscaping & Design

Throughout this Congress, Chair Ernst plans to recognize a small business in every one of Iowa's 99 counties.

RED OAK, Iowa - U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa), Chair of the Senate Small Business Committee, today announced her Small Business of the Week: Five Sons Landscape & Design of Madison County. Throughout the 119th Congress, Chair Ernst plans to recognize a small business in each of Iowa's 99 counties.

"Five Sons Landscape & Design has laid the groundwork for success through hard work, family values, and a commitment to serving their fellow Iowans," said Chair Ernst. "From a humble background, Brady started with a wheelbarrow and borrowed tools to build a full-service landscaping company alongside his family. Five Sons has continued to grow deep roots in the Winterset community through their dedication to their customers, conservation, veterans, and the next generation."

Founded on a dream between father and son, Eric and Brady Pugh, Five Sons Landscaping began in 2013 after both returned from a military deployment to Afghanistan. Brady built the business from the ground up and named the company in honor of his family - Eric and Monica's five sons. Today, the Winterset-based company remains family-owned and operated and offers a variety of landscaping services, including paver patios and sidewalks, retaining walls, boulder walls, plantings, and property maintenance.

Stay tuned as Chair Ernst continues to recognize outstanding Iowa small businesses with her Small Business of the Week award.
