Author Kylee Marshall to Host Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony and Book Signing at the Grand Opening at 9AM on Wednesday, November 5^th, 2025

Glenwood Springs, CO - October 29, 2025 -Barnes & Noble is thrilled to announce the opening of its new Glenwood Springs, CO bookstore on Wednesday, November 5^th.

The new Barnes & Noble will offer about 23,000 square feet of books, toys, games, magazines, gift items and more, including a B&N Café. The new Glenwood Springs, CO Barnes & Noble is located in Glenwood Meadows (115 E Meadows Dr., Glenwood Springs, CO 81601) in the former Bed, Bath & Beyond space, between Petco and Marshalls.

The new Barnes & Noble bookstore will officially open to the public at 9AM MT on Wednesday the 5^th, with local author Kylee Marshall cutting the ribbon and signing copies of her debut publication, Of Dirt and Wildflowers: A Memoir on Growing the Courage to Bloom.

Customers who visit the new Glenwood Springs Barnes & Noble for the grand opening will have access to exclusive deals, like $50 off of any NOOK device. Customers can also save 40% on all DVD, Blu-ray, and 4k Ultra HD movies.

Barnes & Noble Premium and Rewards Members will receive a free hot coffee or tea, and will earn double stamps on all purchases made at the grand opening. Readers who are not yet Members are encouraged to sign up and start earning stamps and rewards right away.

Barnes & Noble is enjoying a period of tremendous growth as the strategy to hand control of each bookstore to its local booksellers has proven so successful. The bookseller is experiencing strong sales in its existing stores and has been opening many new stores after more than 15 years of declining store numbers. In 2024, Barnes & Noble opened more new bookstores in a single year than it had in the whole decade from 2009 to 2019. The bookseller expects to open over 60 new bookstores in 2025.

The Glenwood Springs location is one of 14 new Barnes & Noble bookstores set to open in November, alongside stores opening in California, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas. Each grand opening has drawn enthusiastic crowds that wrap around the building, filling the store as the ribbon is cut.

The design of the Glenwood Springs store showcases the ambition of Barnes & Noble to create exceptional local bookstores that marry the best traditions of independent bookselling with the resources of the historic chain. The new Glenwood Springs Barnes & Noble will cover about 23,000 square feet, including a café, and carry all the best books, as well as a wide range of toys, games and the usual paper and gifting items found at Barnes & Noble.
