FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Kokanee Cove Accepting Group Reservations at Ponderosa State Park
The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation is thrilled to announce group reservations for the new cabins and renovated event facility at Ponderosa State Park. This is a major milestone to improve recreational experience for guests who visit the state park.
"The Kokanee Cove project has been a long time coming to replace all dilapidated buildings. This area's main use is for group functions, which has typically not been available at the park. I am excited to increase available facilities to our guests in a setting which will create lifelong memories," said park manager Matt Linde.
The updated facility is a perfect backdrop for weddings and group events. Groups can rent all 6 cabins which can sleep in total 24 people and the event center capable of hosting 60 people for up to 4 nights in a row. This project is special as it will enhance public access to the popular Payette Lake.
"These state-of-the-art cabins and event facility at Ponderosa State Park will be enjoyed by visitors for years to come" said Director Susan Buxton.
Interested in booking? Call Ponderosa State Park at 208-634-2164 to book your reservation starting on June 17, 2026. Group reservations can be made twelve months before your event. Individual cabin rental reservations are available nine months before your stay. We look forward to hosting you at Kokanee Cove, where groups retreat and nature leads. Kokanee Cove marks a new chapter for Ponderosa State Park to bring visitors together in the heart of one of Idaho's most iconic state parks.
