Chinese Embassy in Kuwait Holds the Inauguration Ceremony of Kuwait-China Friendship Club

On September 3, 2025, the Chinese Embassy in Kuwait and the Kuwait-China Friendship Club jointly held a club inauguration ceremony. Liu Xiang, Chargés d'affaires ad interim of the Embassy, and Sheikha Al-Anoud Al-Sabah, the club's Honorary President,Assistant Secretary-General of the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters of Kuwait, and nearly 20 club members attended the ceremony.

Liu Xiang stated that the Reception Commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War was solemnly held in Beijing today, and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit was successfully held in Tianjin a few days ago. The club's establishment coincided with these important events and was of great significance. He expressed the hope that it would fully serve as a bridge to further promote people-to-people bonds between China and Kuwait. Liu also highlighted President Xi Jinping's speech and the Global Governance Initiative.

Sheikha Al-Anoud stated that China is a great nation that loves peace, and the Global Governance Initiative embodies the values and mission of Chinese diplomacy. Kuwait and China enjoy a deep traditional friendship, and the club will actively contribute to promoting exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

Participants watched video clips of the SCO Summit and the military parade in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War and they discussed China's development achievements and foreign policy.
