Gilbert, AZ. - Join us in making a difference! The Town of Gilbert is partnering with the cities of Mesa, Chandler, and Tempe for a major community service event and we are looking for volunteers.

East Valley Community Impact Day, set for Wednesday, March 4, will bring together 50 service providers under one roof to assist over 200 individuals facing hardship across the East Valley. The event will be held at Redemption Gilbert, 1820 W Elliot Road, from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with various volunteer shifts available. The goal is to create a welcoming space where people can access resources to achieve stability. Community members 18 years or older are encouraged to volunteer in one of several roles:

· Set up, Teardown, and Cleanup

· Guest Check-In

· Concierge

· Restroom/Roving Team

· Meal Service & Kitchen

· Assist with Towel Distribution at Shower Trailers

· Belongings Check

· Roving Support

Volunteers do not need experience. To ensure everyone is prepared, volunteers must attend one virtual training session via Microsoft Teams:

· Monday, March 2, 4:00-5:00 PM

· Wednesday, March 3, 8:00-9:00 AM
