DPW Announces Road Restoration Project on West Street

The City of Syracuse Department of Public Works will repave the southbound lanes of West Street between Erie Boulevard and West Fayette Street on Monday, October 14, 2024. The road will be closed to one lane during construction with traffic detours in place. Drivers may experience traffic delays between the 690 East off-ramp and West Fayette Street. The Erie Boulevard on-ramp to West Street will be closed-off to all vehicle traffic until repair work is completed. Sidewalks remain open and traffic detours are in place. The project is expected to be completed in two days; actual project timeframe is contingent on favorable weather.
